Discover the International Seminar “AGENDA 2030: How can we achieve the SDGs?” organised by SCI Madrid

From 19 to 25 February, a group of 24 young people from more than 8 different countries enthusiastically participated in the International Seminar “AGENDA 2030: How can we achieve the SDGs?” organized by SCI Madrid.

The objective of the seminar was to generate a shared space for mutual learning and debate on the global challenges gathered in the AGENDA 2030 and on the tools to promote the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. The seminar invited participants to reflect on fundamental questions such as: How can we help to achieve the SDGs in our daily lives or in our organizations? What are the key factors to achieve the SDGs in the next 8 years? Is the 2030 Agenda well disseminated and why?

To answer these key questions, during each day the young participants took part in various non-formal training activities and interactive dynamics on the SDGs that make up the different blocks of the 2030 Agenda: People, Planet, Prosperity, Peace and Partnership. Another highlight of the seminar were the modalities aimed at promoting team building among participants and the exchange of experiences and ideas generated in their local organizations.

SCI Madrid would like to thank all the people who participated in the seminar and who contributed to its design and implementation, as well as our partner associations in the different countries: Associazione di promozione sociale Joint; La Periférica Almería; SCI Italia; Center for Intercultural Dialogue (CID); Association for Democratic Prosperity – Zid; Creative Youth Centre; NGO “Youth Mix”; “JCI YOUTH”; Omix Ribadavia; HUJ Voluntary Service of Armenia; Associazione Culturale Usamborgia; SCI CAT; Voluntary Service International Ireland.
